National parties like BJP and Congress will bag around 120 seats each with regional parties set to play an important role in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Republican Party of India (RPI) chief, Prakash Ambedkar, said here today.
The RPI leader, who happens to be the grandson of Dr BR Ambedkar, claimed that figures from the various surveys on the 2014 General Elections were totally "fabricated".
Even if they emerge as the single largest party, neither BJP nor Congress can win 220 seats, he said on the occasion of the formation of the Maharashtra Democratic Front here, which comprises 23 social and political organisations.
