Small sugar prices firmed-up at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to sustained demand from stockists and bulk consumers.
Medium sugar witnessed a mixed pattern on alternate bouts of buying and selling.
Small sugar (S-30) rose by Rs 7/10 per quintal to Rs 3,582/3,672 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 3,575/3,662.
Medium sugar (M-30) quoted at Rs 3,652/3,825 per quintal as against Rs 3,656/3,802 previously.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,582/3,672 (Rs 3,575/3,662).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,652/3,825 (Rs 3,656/3,802).
