Small medium sugar recouped modestly at the Vashi wholesale market here today on mild demand from stockists and bulk consumers.
While, medium sugar slipped marginally due to subdued offtake from stockists and retailers.
Small sugar (S-30) rose by Rs 6 per quintal to Rs 2,686/2,772 from Monday's closing level of Rs 2,680/2,772.
However, medium sugar (M-30) moved down by Rs 4 per quintal to Rs 2,786/2,942 from Rs 2,786/2,946.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,686/2,772 (Rs 2,680/2,772).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,786/2,942 (Rs 2,786/2,946).
