Small sugar prices fell at the Vashi wholesale market here today on lower demand from stockists and bulk consumers.
Medium sugar recovered smartly owing to renewed demand from stockists and retailers.
Small sugar (S-30) dropped by Rs 20 per quintal to Rs 3,176/3,252 from Monday's closing level of Rs 3,176/ 3,272.
Medium sugar (M-30) climbed by Rs 20 per quintal to Rs 3,242/3,392 as against Rs 3,242/3,372 yesterday.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,176/3,252 (Rs 3,176/3,272).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,242/3,392 (Rs 3,242/3,372).
