IT start-up firm SmartVizX, which deals in virtual reality solutions, today said that it has raised about Rs 3.5 crore.
The funds will be used to grow the team, expand R&D and to launch a new Bangalore centre within the first few months.
The fresh funds have been raised from Indian Angel Network (IAN) and Stanford Angels and Entrepreneurs India.

Ind-Ra projects IIP growth in Jan at 1.7% * India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) today said it expects Index of Industrial Production (IIP) growth in January to remain subdued at 1.7 per cent in January.
"Ind-Ra estimates IIP growth at 1.7 per cent in January 2016 and WPI and CPI inflation at -0.8 per cent and 5.5 per cent respectively in February 2016," the rating agency said in a statement.

CII opposes import duty hike on medical devices * Industry body CII today strongly opposed the government's move to hike import duty on medical devices, saying it will increase healthcare cost for patients and hurt the Rs 50,000 crore medical devices industry.
"Customs duty on all medical devices has been increased by around 7.3 per cent. It should have been lowered because majority of the medical devices (75 per cent) are imported," CII's Medical Equipment Division Chairman Pavan Choudary said.

The two phones -- Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 -- priced at Rs 15,990 and Rs 13,990 will go on sale through Flipkart from tomorrow.

TransUnion CIBIL announces free credit score offer * Credit information firm TransUnion CIBIL will offer consumers a chance to see their credit information for free once in a year.
Consumers can also subscribe to TransUnion CIBIL data if they wish to see data more frequently.
"This gives all consumers online access to their CIBIL score and a report in a few minutes from computer or mobile phone. This will make it easier for consumers to achieve and maintain their financial goals," TransUnion CIBIL VP and Head of Consumer Interactive Hrushi Mehta said in a statement.
The subscription will also offer customised personal information based on one's financial report.
A CIBIL score is a three digit numeric summary of an individual's credit history.
It is derived using details of loan-related payments and credit card payments. A CIBIL score is used by financial institutions and banks to evaluate credit worthiness of an individual.

HP launches Centre of Excellence in Delhi * HP Inc today launched its first Centre of Excellence (CoE) in India to showcase innovative solutions developed locally.
HP said the facility will offer solutions that solve real life problems with technological innovations and is in tune with government's Digital India initiative.
The 4,000 square-feet facility aims to demonstrate multiple solutions for sectors such as education, healthcare, BFSI and manufacturing, an HP release said.
"Developed in collaboration with over 25 system integrators that include top IT software companies, the CoE will be used as a platform to exhibit solutions relevant to government and businesses," it added.
The centre also showcases futuristic technologies in security and surveillance through command and control centre, mobility and healthcare with digital ICT labs, e-health centres and telemedicine.
The centre was inaugurated by P P Chaudhary, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology.
"It (the centre) will allow government and non-government stakeholders to have a practical understanding of the solutions making it easier for decision makers to take a step forward towards comprehensive digitisation of the nation," Chaudhary said.
HP has worked on projects for Indian Railways, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and digitisation projects for Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) and several state governments.
