Smuggled liquor seized from chemist shop

A chemist was today booked for allegedly selling smuggled liquor from his shop at Baraula village here, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided the shop and recovered 177 bottles of smuggled liquor from its premises, district excise officer Kuldeep Yadav said.

A case under Excise Act has been registered against the shop owner, identified as Rinku, he added.
