Snapdeal hires former P&G executive as SVP Corporate Finance

In his new role, Amit Choudhary will be responsible for driving overall controllership in finance, FP&A and taxation at the group level

E-commerce firm Snapdeal today announced appointment of former P&G executive Amit Choudhary as Senior Vice President (SVP) Corporate Finance.

At Procter & Gamble (P&G), Choudhary served as Regional Finance Head for its Asia Pet Care business in 14 countries including Japan, Greater China and Australia.

"As we continue to grow at a rapid pace, it is important for us to build a world class finance organisation. We believe that with his experience and expertise, Amit will propel us further on our growth trajectory," Snapdeal Co-Founder & CEO Kunal Bahl said in a statement.

 

In his new role, Choudhary will be responsible for driving overall controllership in finance, FP&A and taxation at the group level to ensure seamless implementation and integration of financial controls and policies.

In his role at P&G, he was responsible for leading strategy development and execution for short and long term goals, decision-making on key aspects of the business, go to market planning, pricing and spending strategy, portfolio management and fiscal management.

Over his 15 year long career at P&G he has held key financial management positions. Before his tenure at P&G, he has worked with JPMorgan Chase Investment Bank and Arthur Andersen.

Choudhary has also invested in start-ups in India.
