Snehadevi seeded number one in ITF event

Almost all the top Indian women's tennis players, including Snehadevi Reddy who has been seeded number 1, will be seen in action at the USD 15,000 Endurance Aurangabad Open Women's ITF Championships to be held here from June 3-10.

In the eight-strong seedings list are five Indian players, according to the event's organisers, EMMTC.

This is only the second women's event in India over the last six months and is expected to bring a much-needed respite to the Indian girls who have been mostly playing abroad and spending a lot of money, it was announced.

The singles winner would take home USD 2,352 along with garnering 12 WTA points while the losing finalist would get USD 1,470 and 7 WTA points.
 

The doubles winning pair will get USD 955 and 12 WTA points while the runner-up would pocket USD 515 and 7 WTA points.

The main draw of the event will commence on June 5.

The seedings: 1. Snehadevi Reddy (IND), 2. Xiaoxi Zhao (China), 3. Sowjanya Bavisetti (IND), 4. Fiona Codino (France), 5. Nidhi Chilumula (IND), 6. Sai Samhitha Chamarthi (IND), 7. Pranjala Yadlapalli (IND), 8. Alexandra Walters (Australia).
