Hip hop legend Snoop Dogg has rallied for US women soccer team demanding equal pay for them after their World Cup win against Netherlands last week.
Snoop shared a video on Instagram on Sunday in support of the women's squad, calling out the pay discrepancy that exists between men and women in the sport.
"Shout out to the US women's soccer team for their fourth World Cup," he captioned the post.
"They only get USD 90,000 per player, but the men, if they win it, they get USD 500,000 per player. The sorry a** f*****g men from the US soccer team, they ain't ever won s***, ain't gonna ever win s***, can't get out the f*****g first round. Man, pay them ladies," Snoop said in the video.
Earlier this year, the current members of the US women's soccer team filed a lawsuit against US Soccer Federation, their governing body, alleging years of "institutionalised gender discrimination".
The team is seeking equal pay with their male counterparts, who could not make it to the 2018 World Cup.
