Rapper Snoop Dogg has launched a new website called Merry Jane which will have information about marijuana products and a location-mapping tool to show dispensaries.

The 43-year-old "Smoke The Weed" hitmaker partnered with Ted Chung to create the lifestyle website, calling it a game- changing platform for pop culture, reported Time.

"There are so many people in the closet. We are giving them an opportunity to come out of the closet and just admit they like to smoke. I'm a smoker, my name is Snoop Dogg, and I'm a stoner," he said.

The site will include a cooking show for budding chefs which will cover edibles and weed pairings, a show called Deflowered featuring smokers discussing first-time experiences and exclusive celebrity interviews.

The rapper noted at celebrity appearances, saying, "Seth Rogen is down with the team."

Merry Jane will also take a look at the business and politics of the cannabis industry, breaking news about legalisation, policy, and industry growth.

The platform launches in October, but is currently sending invitations to a select number of beta testers.
