There was snowfall in the higher reaches of Uttarakhand on Tuesday and rain lashed the lower areas, intensifying cold wave conditions across the state, the meteorological department said.
For the last three days, it has been snowing in places located at 2,500 metres and above. The rainfall in lower areas was moderate but incessant, it said.
A day-long drizzle in Dehradun brought down the minimum temperature to 10.1 degrees Celsius, the Met department said.
Pantnagar recorded a low of 10.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature in Mukteshwar and Tehri was 0.3 and 1.8 degrees Celsius respectively, it said.
