The Met department has predicted similar weather conditions in the state over the next few days.
Mercury has dropped sharply by three to four degrees due to cloudiness and intermittent rains at various places including the state capital and Haridwar, Director, Met department, Anand Sharma said.
Rains in the plains and snowfall at places located above 3000 metres in the hills are likely to occur again during 48 to 72 hours from 6 pm onwards tomorrow, he said.
Sharma advised farmers to put off irrigation of their fields for the time being as there is enough moisture in the soil.
