Snowman completes construction of new warehouse in Kerala

Snowman Logistics today said it has completed the construction of new warehouse at Alapuzha in Kerala, taking the firm's capacity to over one lakh pallets.

"Snowman Logistics Limited has completed the construction of the temperature controlled & dry warehouse located at Aroor Village, Cherthala, Alapuzha and the facility is now ready for operations with a total capacity of 4,500 pallets, thereby taking the total capacity of the company to 1,03,000 pallets," the company said in a statement.

It said the new warehouse is a multi-temperature facility designed to store products in temperature ranging from ambient to -25 degree centigrade with 10 chambers, 7 docks and ample refrigerated truck parking space.
 

The facility will mainly cater to the storage, handling & transportation of seafood, spices, ready-to-eat food, ice cream, dairy products, quick service restaurants, confectionery & bakery products, fruits & vegetables, and fruit pulp, among others.

"Our new facility is strategically located on the national highway to take advantage of faster distribution with connectivity to other nearby markets. It also has easy connectivity to port, supporting export-import business. It also acts as a significant hub to cater to customers in the state," Snowman Logistics CEO and Whole-time Director Sunil Nair said.

Snowman is an integrated temperature controlled logistics service provider operating across locations servicing customers on a pan-India basis.

It has set-up temperature controlled warehouses adjacent to cities, including Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata, having a large potential for sourcing and/or consumption of temperature sensitive products.
