The 39-year-old actress was seen enjoying dinner with the Loeb and friends say they are trying to work out their problems, reported New York Post online.
"The truth is they love each other, but relationships are difficult. They have been talking a lot to work things out," a source said.
Following their split, Vergara, who had been dating Loeb for over two-years moved into a hotel but friends had said that they were unsure the separation would be permanent.
The pressures of her newfound fame on 'Modern Family' and a host on 'Saturday Night Live' was the reason of the couple's break up.
