A 35-year-old Noida-based software engineer was today found murdered at his residence in Indirapuram area here.

C S Dayakar was found dead by his wife Vaishali this morning when she returned to their residence in Rail Vihar Society of Indirapuram from her parental home. The couple have an eight-year-old son.

Police said they are probing the role of his wife, who had left for her parents' house following a fight with Dayakar on Thursday.

"There was a heated argument between Dayakar and Vaishali over some issue on Thursday night. Their neighbours told the police that they also heard some noise indicating assault emanating from Dayakar's house. After the fight with her husband, Vaishali had on Friday morning left for her parental home," said a senior police official said.

This morning, when Vaishali along with her father came back to her Indirapuram's residence, the main gate of the house was locked from outside.

"As Vaishali went inside the house this morning, she found Dayakar lying in a pool of blood on the floor. Police have also found some injury marks on his head which suggest that a blunt object was used to murder Dayakar," the official said.

"Police are now interrogating Vaishali and investigating the case from all angles," the official added.
