Software exports from Telangana are pegged at Rs 57,000 crore during 2013-14 as against Rs 49,831 crore during 2012-13, it was officially announced here today.
According to a statement issued by the state's IT, Electronics and Communication Department, direct employment generated by software exports stood at 3,23,691 during the last fiscal.
"Software exports from Telangana are estimated to be Rs 57,000 crore for 2013-14. Figures compiled by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and Development Commissioner for Special Economic Zones show that information technology and information technology enabled services grew by more than 14 per cent during the last year," the statement said, without disclosing growth in US dollar terms.
The figures do not include domestic software sales and electronic hardware industry figures, the release said.
