Alex Solanki of India created a major upset today as he ousted second seed Wei De Lin of Chinese Taipei in the opening round of the ongoing ONGC ITF Junior at the DKS clay courts here.
Wei De Lin grabbed the opening set 6-4 but the second was stretched to a tie-breaker as the lower-ranked Solanki refused to give up before squaring it with a 7-1 win.
There was no looking back for Solanki thereafter and he played some outstanding rally to win the decider 6-2.
