Leaders of Opposition Left Democratic Front today met Governor Nikhil Kumar seeking his intervention in the wake of charges against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in connection with the solar panel scam.
An LDF delegation led by Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan met the Governor and submitted a memorandum on the developments since the solar scandal broke out.
Talking to reporters, Achuthanandan said they requested him to consider media reports about the scam and the contents of their memorandum and take appropriate action.

LDF MLAs proceeded to the Raj Bhavan after the house adjourned today and held a dharna in front of the Raj Bhavan.
The LDF has been agitating inside and outside the assembly demanding resignation of Chandy and a judicial probe into the solar scam that has brought the Chief Minister's office under a cloud.
The solar scam assumed a political dimension after two staff members were removed from the CMO after they were found to have made frequent telephone calls to Saritha S Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan, the two accused in the case.
The duo cheated a large number of people by collecting money, offering them solar agencies and energy solutions. Both of them have been arrested and remanded.
