Indian soldiers, who had gone on a "revenge" operation on Manipur border last month, came back unhurt, though some of them complained of being attacked by leeches in the jungle areas, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has said.
"Some days back there was an operation on the border. 18 soldiers of the 6 Dogra Regiment were attacked by terrorists and were martyred. In the revenge (operation), not a single soldier was injured," he told party workers last here evening.
"However, two to three (soldiers) came to me with complaints that they were attacked by leeches while returning through the jungles," he said referring to the Myanmar strike.
