With seven artists from diverse fields of theatre, comedy, music and dance performing, a three-day solo theatre and performing arts festival will kick off here this week.
The third edition of 'Monologues' would start from this Sunday with a solo performance by nationally acclaimed actress Mita Vashishth, the organisers said.
On August 9, the festival will see musician Neel Adhikary, theatre artist Soumya Mukhopadhyay and singer-composer Kabir Chattopadhyay perform.
The final segment shall witness stand-up act by famous Mumbai-based comedian Anubhav Pal and dance performance by choreographer Paramita Saha.
Veteran stage personality Usha Ganguly will also premiere her new production 'Rozana' on August 10.
"This will not be a typical art event. We have variety of art forms to connect with people from different backgrounds and age groups. We are also trying to create a strong connect with the youth by doing out of the box things," said the organiser, Chaity Ghosh.
