Somaiya visits IAS aspirant who lost legs in train mishap

BJP MP Kirit Somaiya today met the IAS aspirant girl who lost both her legs in a train accident at Kalyan station here and assured her parents of help in realising her dream.

Sailee Dhamdhere (21), who hails from Junnar town in Pune district, lost both her legs after she fell off a running train from platform no.5 at Kalyan on Thursday.

The mishap occurred when she was returning home after visiting Mumbai regarding preparation of Prelims exam.

Somaiya visited her at a private hospital and assured her parents of arranging Jaipur foot for their daughter and helping in fulfilling her dreams.
 

"An action plan is being prepared to increase height of platforms at railway stations in Mumbai," he said on the occasion.
