Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said his State offers vast opportunities to Somalia to work in a range of fields.
Chouhan said this while calling on Somalian President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who was here to receive Honorary D Litt and M Tech degrees awarded by the Barkatullah University.
Mohamud did his M Tech from the city-based Technical Teachers Training Institute (TTTI) in late 1980s. He also paid a visit to his alma mater later in the day.

Chouhan said it was a matter of pride for Madhya Pradesh that a student who studied in Bhopal has become President of Federal Republic of Somalia.
Praising the leadership of Mohamud, he said the African nation has immense opportunities to work with Madhya Pradesh in various fields.
Somalia under Mohamud is progressing at a fast pace, Chouhan said and extended good wishes to the visiting dignitary.
The Chief Minister said Bhopal has changed a lot since the days when Mahmoud studied here.
The Somalian President described Bhopal as a beautiful city and said he shares deep bond with the state capital, which is famous for its lakes.
Expressing happiness over the progress made by Madhya Pradesh, Mohamud assured Chouhan that his country will work with the State in future.
Mohamud attended India-Africa Forum Summit held in New Delhi this week.
