Some relief from scorching heat for Delhiites

Mercury today further fell in the national capital, bringing some relief to Delhiites, two days after the maximum temperature breached the 40-degree Celsius mark in the national capital.

The day temperature was recorded at 38.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal while the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, a MeT Department official said.

The maximum temperature registered yesterday was 39.6 degrees Celsius.

On Sunday, the day temperature was recorded at 40.6 degrees Celsius, which was four notches above normal for this season.

The humidity in air oscillated between 18 per cent and 65 per cent.
 

The weatherman has predicted clear sky for tomorrow.

"It will be mainly a clear sky tomorrow. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 38 and 25 degrees respectively," the MeT said.

The minimum temperature yesterday had settled at at 26 degrees Celsius.
