In an apparent attack on the Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir governments of which BJP is a part, Congress today said people expect security forces to secure the country's boundaries but some state governments are weakening their will power by releasing terrorists and staging sit-ins against them.

Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly, Congress' Sunil Jakhar today said "on one hand we expect from Pakistan to punish the perpetrators of Mumbai attack, but on the other some state governments are releasing terrorists".

He expressed his views while participating at a function meant to provide funds to terror-affected families organised by Vijay Kumar Chopra, the Editor-in-Chief of Hind Samachar Samuh.

Without taking name of Punjab government, he said "We expect security forces to save our lives at the cost of their own lives but some parties are staging sit-ins against them at the border".

A total of 167 terror-affected families were given Rs 30,000 each, besides blankets, utensils, clothes, flour and rice at the function, the 111th 'Shahid Pariwar Fund Vitran Samaroh', held at the Hind Samachar Maidan here.

Two trucks carrying relief material for displaced families in Jammu and Kashmir were also flagged off in the presence of Chopra.
