Angry over not getting a job at a newly constructed hospital of a doctor couple, a computer operator allegedly killed their nine-year-old son on the inaugural day of the hospital yesterday, police said.

The computer operator was identified as Sushant Das (25) hailing from West Bengal, Superintendent of Police (East), OP Tripathi told reporters today.

Das was acquainted with Dr Arvind Rawal and his wife, Dr Nikita Rawal and had earlier approached them for a job in the new hospital but could not get one.

Das reached the hospital when its inauguration programme was going on and asked their son Ishant to accompany him.

He had friendly relations with Ishant as he used to visit their house for computer-related work, Tripathi said.

Das took the boy on his motorcycle to a mountain in Machal area and allegedly strangulated him.

He later dumped his body in a pit and covered it with stones and tree leaves.

Das has been arrested, police said.
