Sonam Chugh, winner of the 2015 World Corpoprate Golf Challenge in Portugal, raised local cheers when she returned with 37 stableford points to win in 0-5 handicap cateogry on day two of the 7th Toyota Karnataka Golf Festival.
5-handicapper Chugh delightedtly said, "Every victory is special and so is this one. Now that I have the expereince of winning abroad, I am keeping my fingers crossed for booking a slot for the World Golfers Championship and making everyone proud."
Over 500, golfers playing in the event are on a quest to book five places for the World Amateur Golfers Championship in 5 different handicap categories (0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20 & 21-24) to be held in Belek, Antalya, Turkey from 28th November to 5th December 2015.

Raphael Parambi (H'cap - 14) recorded 39 points to win in 11-15 handicap cateogry while Bhishm Batra (H'cap - 16) became the winner of the 16-20 handicap category after carding 40 points.
Shrenik Kumar (H'cap - 22) topped with 39 points in 21-24 handicap cateogry.
While every winner in each of the five categories (0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20, 21-24), walked away with Trophies and a silver plated salvers, the winning team of Dhruv Malhotra and Majid Umar who put together a joint score of 80 points (40 each), won a couples' voucher for 3 Nights and 4 Days at The Serai Resorts.
Toyota Karnataka Golf Festival will feature around 128 new participants tomorrow and on Sunday from different parts of India.
