In its attempt to regain the lost ground in Delhi, Congress president Sonia Gandhi will address a rally here tomorrow, just 10 days ahead of Lok sabha polls which will decide the fate of seven seats of the city.

"The party has made an elaborate preparation to make the rally at Ajmal Khan Park in Karol Bagh a huge success so that a message can be sent that the party is on the path of winning hearts of people again," Mukesh Sharma, chief spokesperson of Delhi Congress said.

To give final touches to the preparations for the rally, AICC general secretary and in-charge of Delhi Affairs Shakeel Ahmed, Delhi Congress president Arvinder Singh, senior leader Haroon Yusuf among others inspected the Ajmal Khan Park today.

"We have made preparations for 30,000 people. It will be a very successful rally. The Congress rally will give a befitting reply to the anti-Congress propaganda by the BJP," said Sharma.

"People will also arrive by the metro rail and Congress workers will be deployed at the nearest metro station at the Ajmal Khan Park to ensure that they are not put to any inconvenience," said Sharma.

He said that the party, after taking the security aspect into consideration, has decided to make small galleries for the smooth entry of people so that they can listen to the speech of Congress President.

Big digital screens are being installed in the park, he said.

"Delhi Congress has deployed over 1,000 people for the smooth conduct of the rally so that the situation does not get out of control due to the big gathering," said Sharma.
