Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today said that the state government's initiative of 'Gunotsav' to evaluate education at the elementary level has encouraged creative thinking.
'Gunotsav' is a quality enhancement initiative of the state government to bring about improvement at elementary level and aimed at evaluating schools and students.
Sonowal made the statement while interacting with students of Dinanath Nabakishore Girls' HS School at Silchar.
He expressed his pleasure to visit the school which was once visited by Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji Subhash Chadra Bose.
