A premiere date for the final season of 'Sons of Anarchy' has been announced.

The Charlie Hunnam-starring drama series about the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club will return on September 9, reported Ace Showbiz.

'Sons of Anarchy's seventh season premiere will be 105 minutes in duration, and is to be followed by live post-show 'Anarchy Afterword'.

'Anarchy Afterword' will also air following the series finale later in the year.

The FX programme will be bolstered in its final season by the return of Walton Goggins and new guest stars Marilyn Manson, Annabeth Gish and Courtney Love.

'Sons of Anarchy' creator Kurt Sutter weighed in on the show being once again snubbed by the Primetime Emmy Awards last week, suggesting that the series' ratings would decline if it won awards.

The series premiered on FX back in 2008.
