Japanese electronics major Sony today launched six new models in its Bravia range of luxury 4K television series.

Its four models priced between Rs 1.74 lakh and Rs 7.04 lakh are already available in the market, while the rest two models would be available by the end of September, the company said in a statement.

"All six of the new 4K models offered by Sony will incorporate the powerful picture processing engine, 4K X-Reality PRO, which uses a combination of unique up-scaling and super resolution technology from Sony to offer any content in beautiful and stunning 4K resolution," Sony said.

They would support the latest HDMI standard, HDMI 2.0, which gives them the ability to display 4K/60p content- an ideal for fast moving content such as sports.

Moreover, the models would be equipped with a new decoder which supports HEVC and can playback 4K/60p contents from Internet streaming services and USB playback.
