Sony launches two new in-car AV centre head units

Japanese consumer electronics giant Sony today announced to launch two new in-car AV centre head units - XAV-612BT and XAV-712BT.

These new generation smart AV centre head units, which are loaded with touch screens would help the drivers with navigation and connection with smart phone apart from music.

Priced between Rs 27,990 to Rs 33,990, these in-car AV centre head units would be available from January 20 in the market, said Sony India in a statement.

The new car system comes loaded with Double-DIN multimedia centre which connects smartphones and transforms it into an automotive application platform where content and apps can be conveniently accessed.
 

Selected mobile functions can directly be controlled on these in-car AV centre head units which come in 6.1-inch touch screen.

It also has App Remote Version 2.0 for Android smartphone user, where a driver through a 'VOICE' key can issue commands orally for functions as to start phone's navigation app, responding to SMS, launching the music app so they can listen to their favorite tunes in the car.

Shri Raman takes over as ED at Salem Steel Plant * Steel Authority of India (SAIL) today announced the appointment of Shri Raman as Executive Director for Salem Steel Plant with immediate effect.

He replaces A Bandyopadhyay who has taken over as the Executive Director (Works) SAIL's Bokaro Steel Plant, a company release said.

Raman, who joined SAIL in 1979, rose to become the Executive Director of SAIL's Centre for Engineering and Technology at Ranchi in 2012.

He has also held various responsibilities including handling of the Research and Development Centre for SAIL, Ranchi, the release said.
