MSM Satellite Pvt Ltd which owns Sony Six, the authorised broadcaster of FIFA 2014 World Cup, today moved the Delhi High Court contending its exclusive rights to stream matches of the international event on the internet are being infringed by certain websites.
A bench of justices Siddharth Mridul and Sunita Gupta listed the matter for hearing on June 23 after the petition was mentioned before it by advocate Saikrishna Rajagopal.
Multi Screen Media (MSM) is an Indian company which was formerly Sony Entertainment Television India Pvt Ltd.

The counsel sought an early listing of the matter on the ground that as several websites are interfering with its rights, "with each passing day, I (MSM) am suffering".
The tournament, which started in Brazil on June 12, is scheduled to conclude on July 13.
