Sony Pictures gets exclusive rights of Premier Futsal League

Sony Pictures Networks India today said it has acquired the rights to broadcast the inaugural edition of Premier Futsal league.

The multicity franchise-based league would be played across India from 15-24 July and Indian Test captain Virat Kohli is one of the stakeholders and brand ambassador of the league.

Futsal is a 5-a-side variant of soccer with two halves of 20 minutes each.

As part of agreement, Sony Pictures Networks India would broadcast all Premier Futsal League matches live in English, Hindi and Bengali on Sony Six, Sony ESPN and Sony AATH, the company said in a statement.

Digital consumers would be able to stream the matches live on Sony LIV.

Sony Pictures Networks India Chief Executive Officer N P Singh said.
