Sri Lanka's Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake facing a 'no confidence' motion had a brief respite today after an unusual sound system failure forced the speaker to adjourn the parliament till tomorrow.
The 'no confidence' motion was moved by the opposition alleging that Karunanayake was incapable of handling the economy, tackling the depreciating currency and raising taxes.
When the parliament met in the afternoon during the Prime Minister's question time the sudden failure of the sound system was noticed.
