A five-day South Asian Universities Youth (SAUFEST) festival will be held at Punjabi University here.
Over 250 youths from 40 universities, hailing from six countries, will participate in the event.
"It is an attempt towards bringing the youth from the South Asian countries to a common platform for sharing views, experiences, innovations and common ideas so that a common agenda in taking the future regional challenges can be taken up," Punjabi University Vice Chancellor Jaspal Singh said.
He hoped that the first-of-its kind event being hosted by the institution would open new vistas for youth activities in it, its affiliated colleges, regional centres and neighbourhood campuses.
