South Korea is going to make a "major announcement" on North Korea, the US President Donald Trump said.
The announcement is going to be on North Korea, Trump told reporters as he popped into the White House briefing room unannounced for less than a minute.
"South Korea is going to make a major announcement at about 7 pm (0000 GMT/ 0530 IST)... On a big subject," Trump said smilingly.
Asked to specify if the announcement was on North Korea or trade, Trump said, "On North Korea,".
South Korean National Security Adviser Chung Eui-yong is currently visiting Washington to brief US allies about his recent landmark talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang.
