Press Trust of India New Delhi
Soyabean prices fell by Rs 66 to Rs 3,419 per quintal in futures trade today, largely on account of weakening trend overseas.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for delivery in August contracts drifted Rs 66, or 1.89 per cent to Rs 3,419 per quintal and open interest of 54,590 lots.

Also, soybean contracts for delivery in far-month October enquired lower by Rs 52, or 1.57 per cent to Rs 3,269 per quintal, with an open interest of 28,580 lots.

Marketmen attributed fall in soyabean futures to a weak trend in global markets on mounting inventories coupled with good crop and slackened spot demand.
