Soyabean oil down facing low demand

In restricted activity, soyabean oil prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to subdued demand from retailers.

However, other edible and non-edible oils after moving in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.

Traders said sluggish demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly led to decline in soyabean oil prices.

In the national capital, soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 6,550 and Rs 6,250 per quintal respectively.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
 

Oilseeds: Mustardseed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnutseed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 850-1,065.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,900, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,650-1,700, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,550, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,270-1,320, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,320-1,420, sesame mill delivery Rs 8,000, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,550, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,250, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,250, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,800, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,500, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,400 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,225-2,250.

Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,450, Castor Rs 9,800-9,900, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
