Soybean prices fell Rs 14 to Rs 3,274 per quintal in futures trade today as participants cut bet in tune with subdued overseas cues.
Marketmen said trimming of holdings by speculators, tracking a weakening global trend, kept soybean prices down for the second straight day.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean for delivery in February slipped Rs 14, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 3,274 per quintal with an open interest of 2,80,760 lots.
Also, contracts for delivery in January shed Rs 9, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 3,237 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 44,870 lots.
