Soybean prices fell by another Rs 92 to Rs 4,038 per quintal in futures trade today after participants trimmed their positions at higher levels amid weak domestic spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean for delivery in far-month June contracts fell by Rs 92, or 2.23 per cent to Rs 4,038 per quintal, with an open interest of 53,770 lots.
Also, most-active May month delivery slipped by Rs 90, or 2.22 per cent to Rs 3,969 per quintal, in an open interest of 100,490 lots.
Marketmen attributed fall in soybean prices at futures trade to offloading of positions by participants at higher levels and a weak trend at the domestic spot markets on mut ed demand.
