Soybean prices climbed Rs 50 to Rs 3,080 per quintal in futures trading today as traders created huge positions, driven by a firm trend in global trend.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for delivery in current month rose by Rs 50 or 1.65 per cent to Rs 3,080 per quintal, depicting an open interest of 1,08,010 lots.
The most-traded January month contract also traded higher by Rs 50 or 1.62 percent to Rs 3,145 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 1,93,290 lots.
Marketmen said positive global cues influenced soybean prices in futures market here.
