Soybean prices fell by Rs 62 to Rs 3,564 per quintal in futures trade today on cutting down of exposure by participants amid a subdued trend overseas.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean for delivery in February contracts slipped by Rs 62 or 1.71 per cent to Rs 3,564 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 1,28,440 lots.
Soybean, for the most-traded, delivery in March contracts also weakened by Rs 57 or 1.55 per cent to Rs 3,613 per quintal, having an open interest of 2,02,140 lots.
Marketmen said offloading of positions by traders, tracking a weak trend overseas, pulled down soybean prices at futures market here.
