Tracking positive global cues and rising spot demand from oil mills, soybean prices were higher by Rs 58 to Rs 4,208 per quintal in futures trading today as participants widened their bets.
Besides, res triced supplies too influenced prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean for delivery in May month contracts was trading higher by Rs 58, or 1.40 per cent to Rs 4,208 per quintal, with an open interest of 92,180 lots.

On similar lines, delivery in current month contracts edged up by Rs 48, or 1.17 per cent to Rs 4,146 per quintal, in an open interest of 3,710 lots.
Marketmen said a firming trend in the international markets following fall in soybean acreage in American continent, mainly kept soybean futures prices higher here.
