Soybean futures traded higher by Rs 24 to Rs 3,916 per quintal today after speculators created fresh positions, triggered by positive global cues.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for delivery in July contracts was trading higher by Rs 24 or 0.62 per cent to Rs 3,916 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 70,990 lots.
On similar lines, the commodity for delivery in current month moved up by Rs 19 or 0.49 per cent to Rs 3,860 per quintal, showing an open interest of 31,030 lots.
The rise in soybean prices at futures trade was mostly attributed to building up of fresh positions, taking positive cues from global market, marketmen said.
