Soybean moves up in futures trade on global cues

Soybean prices were higher by Rs 10 to Rs 3,080 per quintal in futures trade today on the back of widening of positions by operators amid positive global cues.

Market players said raising of bets by participants, tracking a firm trend in the global markets traders, mainly influenced soybean prices in futures trade here.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean for delivery in November gained Rs 10 or 0.33 per cent to Rs 3,080 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 60,660 lots.

Similarly, the delivery for the most-active October advanced by Rs 8 or 0.26 per cent to Rs 3,037 per quintal, depicting an open interest of 46,370 lots.
