Soybean prices fell by Rs 41 to Rs 3,265 per quintal in futures trading today as traders reduced their positions, tracking a weak trend at the domestic and overseas markets.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for delivery in October dipped by Rs 41, or 1.24 per cent, to Rs 3,265 per quintal, persisting an open interest of 54,970 lots.

Also, soybean for delivery in November dropped by Rs 33, or 1 per cent, to Rs 3,274 per quintal, with a business turnover of 63,260 open lots.

Marketmen said offloading of positions by participants, tracking a weak trend at domestic markets on persistent supplies from growing regions mainly weighed on soybean futures.

Besides, weak trend overseas and weakness in palm oil prices, influenced soybean prices, they added.
