BJP Uttar Pradesh chief Keshav Prasad Maurya today alleged that Samajwadi Party and BSP had "looted" Uttar Pradesh and no work "was done without bribes" in the state.

"The SP and BSP have looted Uttar Pradesh in the last 14 years and no work is done without bribes in the state," he said at a rally here.

Criminals are roaming freely and fearlessly because of poor law and order, he said, claiming that during BJP's rule 'goondas' either left the province or were put in jail.

Maurya alleged that "dishonest officerswere being given postings while honest ones are being removed".

"BJP leaders and workers holding demonstrations are being implicated in false cases," he claimed, demanding the state government to stop "atrocities against the party's members."

He alleged that the ruling government was not implementing plans and schemes of the Centre for the development of the poor in the state.
