Referring to 2G spectrum allocation scam and alleged financial bungling in allocation of coal blocks, Samajwadi Party General Secretary Ramgopal Yadav said not even a single day passes without report of a new scam.
"A competition is on between the last state government in Uttar Pradesh and the present central government here as to who will lead in the scam cases", Yadav said while addressing a gathering of party workers and senior leaders.
Later talking to reporters, he downplayed the issue of SP chief uattending the UPA function yesterday.
"Mulayam has always attended the dinner. We were giving outside support (to UPA) and we are still doing that. But we cannot comment on how long this will continue. Attending a dinner is not something wrong," Yadav said.
