Samajwadi Party MP Neeraj Shekhar and BJP MP Bharat Singh clashed today during a district vigilance and monitoring committee meeting here.
Trouble started in the meeting being held at Vikas Bhawan to review the Central government schemes when Bharat Singh started raising issues concerning the state government which was opposed by Shekhar.
"Bharat Singh started pressurising for discussing issues concerning irrigation and power departments of the state government and when I drew the attention of District Magistrate Murli Manohar Lal to it, he got agitated and passed unparliamentary remarks," Shekhar, who is son of former prime minister Chandra Shekhar said.
