Demanding a CBI probe, Samajwadi Party (SP) in Rajasthan today alleged that BSNL and Tata Teleservices were guilty of bungling Rs 202.63 crore in a telecom expansion programme in the state's rural areas.
"We will write to the CBI, Centre and the state government in this connection seeking a thorough investigation into the scam," SP state vice president Anil Singh Shekhawat told reporters here.
"BSNL had paid a sum of Rs 202.63 crore as subsidy to Tata Teleservices for works which had no verification from its Technical Department...It was noted by the CAG in its audit report," Shekhawat said.
